When you confirm an unsubscribe action, Penance contacts the sender's server on your behalf to complete the request. This is the only outbound connection Penance makes, and it is always initiated explicitly by you.
Penance interacts directly with your email provider (such as Gmail or Yahoo) from your device in order to display and manage your emails. These interactions are governed by your relationship with your email provider, and we do not control or store any data transmitted between your device and those services.
Penance does not use any third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising services. There are no hidden backends or cloud-sync features.
